Free Solar Pro - Amps and Volts
Amps, Volts, and Watts
What are Amps and Volts? How do I get watts from them?
The definition of amps is how many electrons flow past a certain point per second. Volts, on the other hand are a measure of how much force each electron is under. To determine an equivalent of any amount of watts, volts, or amps, you must know two of the three parts of the equation.
The mathematical equation to figure out how to convert watts to
amps is:
Amps = Watts/Volts.
To
determine how to convert amps to watts, you use the equation:
Watts = Amps x Volts.
To
determine how to convert watts to volts, you would use the equation:
Volts = Watts/Amps.
To
determine how to convert volts to watts, you would use the equation:
Watts = Amps x Volts.
To
determine how to convert volts to amps with a fixed wattage, you would use the
equation:
Amps = Watts/Volts.
To
determine how to convert amps to volts with a fixed wattage, you would use the
equation:
Volts = Watts/Amps.
