How Practical is solar power for remote homes

Bring the energy to your home instead of depending on others

Solar power is VERY practical for homes in remote areas. Until solar power came along, people who wanted to live "away from it all" still had to pay large amounts of money to have power lines brought to their homes. Now, a remote home can be self-sufficient, by using solar power.

An average home has more than enough roof space available to produce all the solar energy to run the appliances inside the home. With an inverter, a device that changes DC current into an AC current, which most home appliances run on, a solar home can look and run like any other home that is connected to a power grid.
