Using solar energy during the day to power your house reduces energy costs

One of the most cost-effective and easy ways to use solar power is "daylighting".

To take advantage of this idea, the architect and builder "site" the lot to find the best position to take advantage of the sun's rays. In the right position, the house can then benefit from sunlight throughout the entire day. The windows of the house are placed "strategically" to give the maximum light without overheating the interior of the house.

Interior design is then planned to "diffuse" the light within the room.

According to the United States Department of Energy, the cost of lighting the house with "daylighting" techniques is 40-60% lower than they would be without using this method.
