Here's an interesting note.  There is a huge music festival held in Glastonbury, in the UK every year.  This hosts 175,000 people on about 900 acres of land.  So, you're here at a great music festival and you want to "phone home" and let everyone know how great it is.  Well, what happens when your phone dies?  Orange, a phone company in the UK, partnered up with GotWind, a DIY wind power company and built a huge orange structure.  This structure collects solar and wind power enough to charge up to 100 phones per hour.  What a great use of resources.
