Grid Tie System
Saving Money by producing your own energy for your home
With the price of "high time" electricity soaring, and the price of solar power alternatives decreasing at a rapid rate, it might be a good idea to invest in a grid tie system. With this system, you can produce your own electricity during the "hot time" of the day, and if the electricity exceeds your needs, you can sell it to the electric company. With this grid tie system, you don't need any battery banks, battery chargers or expensive amperage components, so it makes it cheaper to operate.
There is a drawback to this option, though. Without any battery banks, you can't store the electricity you produce, and you won't have a backup in case of a power outage. There is also more risk of shock or fire with the increased amperage, so you should always use DC ground fault circuit breakers.
